Attention everyone!! lol I want to hold a meeting tomorrow before the school semester starts to get a break down of what everyone has done...what needs to be done (a lot!)...and when we will be around to do them. I was thinking tomorrow around 6pm at the solar house. Let me know if this works for you.

Work meeting this Thursday 1/14/10 starting at Noon. You do not have to get there exactly at noon however I will most likely be there all day so stop by and give us some help. The purpose of this meeting is to finish design of D-train as well as start purchasing material for the build.

Hello folks.. I was wondering when we are meeting next.. I got bunch of things to show and talk about before finalizing.. I got one cool freshman kid who will be my assistant. I started of by teaching him how to charge the batteries.. He can also come over and give morford a hand on odd jobs like cleaning the HPS hull, making molds, etc.. He also suggested some cool ideas that sounded good to me.

I came to check the forum but was bit confused because i went into the categories but now i know that we are talking here..

Blue said he would meet me Wednesday evening but he forgot it and then again, he said he is going to come meet me on Friday evening but he did not pick up call.. Blue where are you.. I will get the subconn and seacon list ready over the weekend so that we can send them for quote on Tuesday. I think i found good switches on seaconn site that we can use for the driver to command left or right turn. Did you get any more feedback from airmar guys - or any CAD models/docs about it. I have decided not to go for the depth sensor that nic got in the past due to so many reasons and basically make the depth sensor myself which would be same as the one i made for the subjugator and use one at the front and one at the back as far apart as possible to get a estimate of the pitch.

I can see Travis hull has posted this note on HPS 2010 face book group.. he could not find a facility in San diego, but he said he is still going to look for one outside Southern California...

Its very sad - the competition is the drive and without it, its hard to move ahead and focus. Since, we are all graduating and the sub currently is in back to ZERO state, i think we should give it out best and stick to the wicky watch deadline - that s the only chance we get to test the sub.. After that, is somebody wants to continue working, we can do it slowly or give up or gear up if we hear something from HPS 2010 guys...

All of us have been working hard doing research and thinking and thinking (may be also dreaming) and have a plan in mind, the cancellation of HPS should not stop us from materializing it.

So, we don't have a actual pressing deadline on us now. Anyways it was not very pressing because the competition was later than what it was last year, the biggest deadline for us was the graduation date in spring, we all are graduating, this is our last chance to do some thing for the HPS, if not for a competition , at least we can patch up some of our failures of last year - i now realize that how important the 2009 HPS was and Nic had a chance after 2 years but just did not take it seriously..

I propose that we keep working the same way as we had decide till the end of spring break. We better not say anything to funding sources and let the funds come in as it was planned. The money for the travel should be kept aside as planned but in case any source pulls back, we can spend some of the travel money on making the HPS better.

Work day this Saturday. I would like everyone to attend this work day. The first hour or so I will be holding a meeting talking about next year, funding, and recruitment. After that I would like everyone to stick around and work on their assigned projects. I will be sending out an invite to some of the students interested to show up around 2pm so half of the meeting time will be some shop clean-up as well.
