So I have a pretty solid idea for the harness...again we will be using 80/20. Once I get back to gville I will cad up a model so you can see how everything moves.

Harness is nearly complete. I have to make some brackets to fit some of the angles from the 80/20 set up but really I constructed the harness to change once we actually started to install since driver preference is of main concern. (Morfords preference most likely since he has most experience driving...he knows whats comfortable). In addition to the harness I have started thinking on how we are going to house the limit switches and integrate them with handle bars.

So the huge question is...how the hell are we going to make these bars? If we make them out of aluminum we have a kinking problem if not done properly and if the aluminum is not properly spec'd in. We could make them out of stainless steel and really that would be the best solution right now but SS tubing is pricey. Let me know what you think about this.

Also to fit the switches we might have to make trays so they slide in properly. These could be made out of aluminum and or plastic, which brings me to my next point. I feel we might want to invest in getting a cartridge of rapid prototype material for miscellaneous parts like these since the sub will be hugely comprised of electrical components it will be smart to make plastic trays to insure that no loose wires get shorted from touching parts of the enclosure.

Harness pictures - Blue's original harness idea was modified after testing it out inside the sub. Here is the modified harness. The band harness mount will be finished by the end of the week. After that, all we need is some hardware. Next step: Mount the harness to the sub.
